Hello!

I have purchased and fitted with help, a set of four halogen spots, as pictured... but thats as far as I have got.

I have some idea that I need a relay and a switch in the interior so I can turn them on, thinking of a 3 way, off, on on switch so I can have two on as driving lamps BUT...

What relay would I need and what connects to the prongs that come off that relay, e.g. do I need to go to the battery or coil with one prong? really have no idea, any help greatly appreciated!

if they are spot lamps they can only come on with high beam

there are 4 pins on the bottom of the relay sorry i dont know there markings

1 will be earth easy one just find a screw in the the body and put the wire under it

then one will go to the spot lights through a switch if you want to be able to turn them off

then you need to take a wire from a another pin to the head lamp main beem wire( someone on here will tell you what collour it will be )

and the last pin will be the live feed take this from where all the brown wires go near the starter motor and go through a fuse

4x50 watt spot lamps will take 17 amps so make sure fuse and cable match

I think halfords do a kit about £10 :erm: . Should be able to sort it out with one of those.

Just wire it up to a seperate switch, No need to have them wired to your high beam.

You will need a relay and set it up like so...

Good luck...

Hi,

I am planning to install 4 front spots/fog and at the same time install overriders and corner bars. Is there ant problem with this combination?

Spots will normally fit in between the overriders..

On the subject of Spots/Front Fogs wiring.

The spots can ONLY come on with the Main Beam ( and should be wired as such ) also it is also preferable to have them on a switchable independant circuit as above.

Front Fog lights can only come on with the lights, and MUST switchable and have a tell-tale ( illuminated switch or light ) in the cabin.

This is UK lighting regulations, for Norway I suspect there will be something similar.

There is a thread in the tech section which has the wiring, which I will now go and find, and will edit this post when located.
