:(
Stay away from it.

It takes 5MP photos, then the camera will "blow them up" as it were to 12MP, or some jazz like that.

It's a no-name camera body, and more importantly a no-name lens. The lens is one of the biggest things you should be concerned about as a good quality one will make or break your photos. Stick to the brand name SLRs.

In short: Don't buy it!

Oh - you're looking for a point and shoot then, and not an SLR?
Second hand Sonys perform well. The best point and shoot on the market at the moment (IMO) is the Panasonic TZ3 - but that'll cost you about £120.

5 mp will get you a3 prints(at a push) and the lense seems to have a wide angle attachment(good for cars/car shows). Has a lithium battery, which means charge it up like your mobile and away you go.

quality...I have no idea, but it seems to be based on the minolta Z cams...which as they went bankrupt awhile back..could be a rebadged minolta. I cant find the optical zoom. If it has no zoom....dont get.

Whats the price more importantly?

ive got a casio exilim, which is fantastic! its 7.2 mega pixels, but hte thing i really like about it is that the photos are really instant, you dont have any time between pressing the button and the picture actually taking! its got a big screen at the back too. i dont know all that about it tho because it does what it says on the tin so i dont need to know any more!
heres a link....
http://www.argos.co......ext>CASIO.htm

they come cheaper off amazon tho! brilliant camera imho
hope that helps

Well, if I was getting one, I'd get the Panasonic. It's got a wide angled lens on it and the zoom is 10x optical which blows anything else in the market out of the water - and is extremely useful. Plus it's a Leica lens.

On Ebay you can get them for about £130 new with extras such as a big memory card, tripod, case etc.

7.2MP is fine for a point and shoot, you only need the pixels if you're planning on blowing up the photos to big sizes.
Once you get to that resolution, as I keep stressing, the lens is most important. You can buy a cheap no-name Chinese camera which is 8MP and the photos will be nowhere near as good as, say, a Sony 8MP or maybe even a 5MP.

That does look sexy! Your best looking for probably an 7 or 8mp camera? Depends how big you want to print pictures? Nikon are good cameras to look for, but are pretty pricey.
