what sort of filler could you use to smooth a bootlid? Would you use normal filler or would you use fibreglass stuff?

think it would be best to cut the dent out then weld in a flat plate and then smooth over with a small amount of filler .

if you just fill it with filler it will crack and fall out

Smoothy Skin £30, Smoothy Bootlid £55 (with choice of two different inners).

Have seen bootlids at a show going for £90! :saywhat:

Ryan,

Smudgers are very good quality, and the holes for the hinges are already indented so you just drill through them! Have to mark/drill the holes for the lock but thats not hard! Dom

On all things GRP etc just take your time trimming, cutting and drilling.

You will find the Bootlids (Double skin) are quite thick, well Mini are anyway  & will need rubbing down for a perfect fit. Its a time thing!

I will be at some shows this year so just come track me down for a chat/look.
