I had a Google for you Mistress Ju,

seems there are a few telephone helplines dedicated to bald pussies but they seem a lil expensive.

I asked if she thought a good wiff of Tuna would tempt your lil chap 'n she hung up on me :withstupid:

Juj, Im not a cat person at all but that really is a fantastic thing you are doing! No creature on this planet deserves that and you offering them a loving caring home is beyond the call of duty so top work Mr&Mrs,

It's purely selfish. :withstupid: We want cats. We don't want cats to go outside because two of ours had been run over.
These two were available & needed a home. :dontgetit:

They're at least MC crosses. We had a coon (he got splatted on the road) and Milo is so similar in his physique & temperament. They also have the classic MC "chirrupy" voices (and they're mahoosive...).

Beautiful Putty Catz Juju! :)

I'm glad your keeping them in doors, there's alot of people that are not nice to wittle animals.
And I havnt seen anyone been nasty to animals yet, but if... I ever do... I will kick there ass!!!

They can be a handle without the snip as well.
my jaffa cake got horney alot...

but thats life... males tend too.

I'd get the snip, they will hate it... and be scared for days, but do it after they are settled into the house.

all the best with your Gaint pussies! :P there lovely! x

What gorgeous cats- you lucky thing. The sad thing is that these "House cats" as the Americans call them, will not be able to go outside as they are unable to defend themselves against other cats due to the lack of front claws. I really cannot understand why people do these things.......it is only for the benefit of the owners and not the cats. I have three normal moggies with claws and my sofas are not pristine as a result................but they are only sofas at the end of the day and can be replaced !!!!

I'm not a big *baby cat* fan on the hole... especially not overly furry ones, but your pictures have warmed me slightly and i can see the attraction of having something to play with in the evening. Having 4 kids, i have no spare time for anything furry in my life and i don't think my wife would like it. I can't stand the smell of fish either, i had a horrific experience as a child where a fishy bone got lodged in my throat.

They have both been decommissioned. No weapons, no genitals (well, they've still got the bits they need to go toilet, obviously... :) )

You make I larf, Gav! :teehee: My other half has the most sensitive fish receptors of any creature on earth. He could detect an anchovy from fifty kilometres away. :dontgetit: He manages OK when I open the tin, but he won't handle the stuff himself.

There are plenty of MC breeders in this country, too. There are even devoted rescue homes for MCs. Breeders tend to want to rehome their lady-cats once they've had a certain number of litters. http://www.maine-coo...lub.com/rescue/ & http://www.pets4home.....ed=Maine Coon

Well, I think the tuna trick may be working! There's nowt like blatant bribery to get your own way with an animal. :(

I opened Milo's drawer & wafted a dish of stinky fish about & eventually a smokey-grey furry face with a twitchy nose appeared, followed by the rest of him. He scoffed most of the tin, plus a few biccies of dry food! :P For the rest of the evening he was a very purry chap with an alarmingly distended belly.

They both got up with us this morning, too.

Excellent. Tuna is magic.

Great job with the rescue, Juju! :( Here's a piccie of the 'little' guy I found and took to a local vet.

Thankfully, Heimdall is fully recovered now, but full story (if you're not too squeamish) here

Awww Juju they are sooooo sweet! :P

Cats make me go squishy.

I've got a rescue cat who'd been through some rubbish times and she was the same as yours at first, she lived under my bed for two weeks, only sneaking out for food or her litter tray and even then she hide if she heard anything. Now she doesn't leave my side, she even sits in Vern with me  She has a flea allergy and had a complelety bald tummy and chin when I got her, but now we're all sorted :)

Attached File  moognvern.jpg   676.04K   1 downloads :teehee:
Attached File  22122006415.jpg   129.06K   3 downloads << You can just see her fur starting to come back in this rubbish pic, but inside her leg and chin are still a bit baldy

I hope yours settle down soon, as I'm sure they will :(

Nice one Juju, Mum loves them. shes convinced their Maine Coons. As youve said, they seem to have all the charicteristics.
Watch out for all those knots. Our big one, Melvile, now goes outside and he is just a mahoosive knot! Takes no pride in his appearence lol

This is the little girl, Krystal;

If you want any more pics i can send you a PM juju.

Also, for "treating them" buy the biscuits that Royal Canin do, "Maine Coon 31" they go crazy for them, and they also help them grow bigger lol
