Please can someone tell me the difference between the manifold presssure sensor and cam shaft sensor on the MPI engine as we are having problems with local rover dealer over description and does anybody have a part number for either item if they exist, and do they fit these items to any other vehicle in the rover range ie 200, 400 etc.
Thanks in advance
What Is The Difference?

Manifold Absolute Preassure (MAP) Sensor measures the pressure in the inlet manifold
Cam sensor tells the ECU when the the engine is on the intake stroke on number one cylinder.
The MAP sensors can be found on the Rover KV6 engines.
The cam sensor can be found on the later Rover K series engines. It is actualy the Crank sensor on those engines
Which do you require?

Hi thanks for that, I require the cam sensor, you wouldn't happen to know a part number. Thanks
