the bonnet has to be secure, either with the original method, or with pins, or with whatever else you choose.

One thing to consider is the protusion that you're adding to the front of the mini. I mean, if the bonnet pins stick out a mile, they could potentially be as dangerous as headlamp peaks! ;)

Thanks Matt. :thumbsup: Don’t worry the headlamp peaks have gone lol so have the neon light gear stick and shark fin aerial previous owner had ready to go in the mini. Mini had a lucky escape I think.

With a miserable tester they could fail under the sharp edges rule. same as jagged rusty arches etc.
The leaping jaguar is a fail if fitted to later type jags.

Dzus fasteners are safe.
