This mite sound a bit random but i remember seeing a cooper with two of the rear fog light mounted under the bumper at each end.

Can anyone tell me if this was factory fitted on some cars or put on by someone else and is it possible for me to do this to my car? (im very anal about how things look)

Thanks

You can do this to your car, just get another fog light from the scrappers or something, I dunno about having two fog lights, but I know that after 1986/87 (I think!), cars were required to have a seperate fog light mounted a certain distance from the brake light. I don't know whether it was then increased to having a standard two fog lights?

There was a discussion about this some time back on here, a search for fog light should turn it up, I believe it was about someone asking where he could mount a fog light, or what the law was on them.

Thanks for the reply, i did a search and found the answer.

"Question: How many fog lights can I have?
Answer: For vehicles first used before 1st April 1980 there can be any number of fog lights. For vehicles first used after 1st April 1980 and before 1989, there must be no more than two. Post 1989, this is restricted to one."

So, because my car is a 1990 i've gotta stick with the 1 of them.

You whipped that from the FAQ, which is simplified for ease of reading..you can have two but they MUST be symetrically positioned and of the same size, so you could attach one to the other side... but the legislation is (pardon the punn) a little foggy at this point... !
