You are right mate its a bit lighter. It does not have any steel reinforcing in it, goes really well, handles alright too.

was alot of reading (bang goes most of sunday ! lol) but what a read.. is all VERY interesting !
makes my project seems a bit 'normal' in comparison

well i *DID* know of 12 unique Minus's that i have discovered (not actually seen another apart from mine, the moulds to make them, and a RWD one) which was were i brought this one .. which is a nice story .. (found posted in the above link)

Exerlent post mate would be nice to find the rest of them, I know of a blue shell which sold on ebay last year my mate owned it for a sort time, the paintwork was terrible i believe someone on either this forum or another owns it now but not sure who.

well i was told by keith, that they made 500. but ive also heard that they made 250 ..
so not too sure which one it true FACT.. would of thought keith would of known ?
but he said that most of um were exported .. so maybe half exported.. thus 250 are/was in UK

a mate of mine down in cornwall had a blue one with 1380 engine and rear roll cage it was L reg but cant remember any more about it

I will be taking mine to both MITP and the showdown looking forward to seeing how it does on the black stuff.

It was by bosses son that owned the blue minus before and i was ment to build it with him as he was only 15 at the time, All i could see at the time was alot of work sorting the shell for painting. I had only just set up my buisness when he was selling it and money was a bit tight. I had to sell my old mini around the same time too and now wish i never did.

As far as the lightwhite goes, I brought it about 5 weeks ago from a lad in norfork who built.

He had the shell made for him along with the cage that is bonded through the rear seat to compensate for the lack of strengthening,. The shells quite a bit different to the one minisprint has. My rear shelf is flat, the bulk head has strange ridges in it, it has a removable front including the a panels. Its got mk1 rear lights with a mk3 rear screen and no hole for the fuel filler neck. Supposedly the fibreglass is also thinner than normal also.

He got the shell in 1991 and finished bulding it in 1999 and only did 1600miles since then, bit of a shame really. He did a good job of fabricating some of the plates and mountings, its also got a choped austin ellegro steering column which is much lower and in your lap.

It will make a nice car with some tlc and a nice turbo lump.

I have loads of history on Wyatt and in this there is no mention of the SW. It seams he lived mostly in the NW before he headed upto Aberdeen where i got him from :tongue:
