My wife finally convinced me to get a bike so she could learn to ride and get her license. The result is this 1986 Honda VF500F Interceptor...

I would say the best gixxer colour scheme would be the ltd edition black/copper they brought out this year for the 750. The tri-colour blue, for me, is just too common.

Strangely, my bro was quoted higher premiums for a gixxer 600 than the 750 he bought.

Anyhoo, heres my little wheelie machine..

Cheers mate, it's a 576cc street biased supermoto putting out 50bhp at the rear wheel. Actually a really comfy bike too so was ideal for the rally. So so chuckable around the tight bits. My team mate was riding the Husqvarna 510SMR which is a 500cc pure race supermoto, slightly quicker than mine but rock hard seat and suspension.

Honda make some great bikes, I've ridden a CRF250 enduro bike and couldn't believe how quick that was.

Yep, posted a couple of pics on this thread.

http://www.theminifo...howtopic=104746

I bough a KTM 640 SM as my first "big" road bike in 2001. It was a great bike for a first SM but after riding a friends 520 EXC I realised how heavy and slow turning it was and decided I had to have an EXC. I got a real bargain on a 2004 525 EXC with less than 500 miles on it, the guy paid £5700 in April and I bought it for £4100 in the December. I got a set of second hand Talon/Exel wheels from a forum contact, a Beringer front brake, crash bungs, Akro endcan and some funky graphics and I was set. I love the bike but a broken leg a couple of years ago means I didn’t ride as much in the last couple of years but I’m getting back into it now and hope to get out a lot more next year when the weather warms up.

Here's a few more pics, the LC4, a couple more of me on the EXC at Cadwell Park, a VisorDown.com (RIP) Supermoto forum rideout and my mate on his CCM over a humpback bridge somewhere in the middle of the north Yorkshire moors.

I've always had mad sportsbikes with the occasional off-roader but the time as come to give my back and wrists some time off.
