I have GRP doors on my mini and it was a big mistake. I wish I sent my original doors to the minidoor co for their streetfighter door conversion.

Mini shells are bent to fit the doors so you're grp doors will most likely be a bad fit. And thats not to mention how flexible they are on the tops.

For a road car? Don't bother (or buy mine off me"!)

my opinion and its from experience as ive done the same on my mini is keep the solid (fairly good fitted) lol metal doors cut all the inner skin out and put some polycarb windows in ,there going to be preety much as light as the other alternatives. probably slightly heavyer but there not going to bend at higher speeds.

i'v got alloy street fighters, they are well made/converted, they weigh naff all compared to the steel ones, personally i'd have these over fibre glass, 1 for the security, 2 for the fit, 3 because the steel frame is retained with no crazing cracking etc related to fibreglass.
