Ok. You made the carriers?

yes , but you being in the states, could use ford merkur xr4ti rear diff ,shafts and carriers, i believe that the rear end is the same as our ford sierra .

no i dont race but i have built a couple of rear engined very competative cars , the rwd cinq in the background is a new build but not built by me it belongs to a friend of mine, its been sat around for a while , that one is built with cds tubing it just needs a week or so on it to finnish it off.

the road mainly , and maybe track days, i have a big jump between 1st and 2nd gear , i would like to gear for around 120 mph flat out , the tyre size is 185/60/13.

the engine produces its peak power at 10,000 rpm , not sure what the rev limiter cuts in at though , i dont yet have a rev counter suitable for it , so for arguments sake lets say 11,000 rpm.

np matey, i looked around on the internet and i couldent find any ratios apart from these, so i assume they are the same for all black birds, as i also couldent find anything to say they have been changed from year to year.

engine to gearbox reduction. 1.571
1. 2.769
2. 2
3. 1.579
4. 1.333
5. 1.167
6. 1.042

i also worked out what speed i was doing when i lost sight of the convoy on the m40 so i booted it.
