Didn't know where to post this, so its here.

When i finally get my arches sorted with wood and pickett i need to paint them. So i just wondered if anyone knows if i need any special primer to paint the arches before i spray the top coat on them?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure you can use regular primer or acid etch primer (name?) but don't quote me on that..

Yeh normal primer is usually Ok but etch can be used because the surface of cheap arches isnt usually great. With W&P normal primer should be fine, if you want to be sure then use a light spray of etch first, then normal primer! Dom

Yep. Just normal primer from halfords. They do sell "plastic" primer, but it dosent really matter...

IF they are plastic arches, do they have a grainy effect to them. If so, then go with "Filler primer". That will get you a smoother finish.
