Original Bumper Colour

Was there more than one shade?
We know that the trim colour is 'Nimbus grey' and we were given a code for this colour and have sprayed the grille in it. Our mirrors and door handles also are this darker colour.
Is it that models such as the City had this lighter shade of bumper and we should respray ours in the proper Nimbus grey?
Thanks!

Hurricane grey, which is a standard rover colour, is too dark (what most of mine is)
And the hycote bumper and vinyl light grey is a shade too light, as i found out when i repainted the rear bumper and fitted a replacement grey boot lamp from the breakers to fix some of the damage caused by vandals a few weeks back.
Although as there is no “correct” shade just do all the trim in one shade, at least that way it will look right.

I think we'll just spray them the Nimbus grey we got mixed up
Thanks

Well it was Bean that kindly gave me the paint code for Nimbus grey BLVC 619. That's what we painted the grille, this seemed to match the arches which were originally on the car, the grey handles that we got and the mirrors we just received. But the bumpers are completely different.

Which is also the code i sent bean originally, even if it is slightly too dark, i prefer it to the lighter shade as it matches the grey in the stripes.
Ps. make sure you give the undersides of the bumpers a good coat of hammerite, as the painted bumpers rust just as quickly as the cheap chrome ones.

They've probably rusted away by now.

Simples, just lightly rub down your black trim, nip down to halfords and pick up a few cans of rover hurricane grey.I'm also looking for Nimbus grey trim for my 25. I'm having to settle for black in the mean time.

I'm actaully thinking the black looks good now. So I'll bare that in mind for when I want to go totally original, Thanks!
