Yup, I've got 'em on my van. Really nice carbs. I had Dave Yardy (icklemini) rebuild them, and sent my spec list to Doddy who told me what needles to get for a starting point. The manifold - I bought a steel one from maniflow, pricey but definately worth every penny. Linkages - I would try to buy new ones that are mini specific, saves hassle. I chopped mine down and they arent quite right (can't get them to idle right because they wont let the butterfly shut all the way) Try burlen or the SU centre in grantham (I think) for the linkages. On the car they are great, I worked out I'm getting 45mpg in my van on a run with it fully loaded up with camping gear, and 2 people at 70mph. They do suck a bit of fuel when you give it a thrash round the B roads though

Cheers i just registured on ML motorsport so ill send my spec over in a min.

When he says about modifying the needle and has a list from 1 to 11, how do you modify the needle to match the figures that he gives, or did you just ask for an off the shelf needle?

Also did you try the MGB manifold?

MGB Manifold won't fit
Again posts are too widely spaced.

When AC gives you a "base" needle to start with, thats what it'll be, a base needle.. you'll need to go to a RR to get it fine tuned from there.

Yep, MG manifold dont fit - they have a completely different engine. AC will tell you which off the shelf needle is about right, then fine tune it when you take it down for the RR session.
