Funny you should post this up today. Iwas talking to one of my friends who's going to the same Uni as me in September and we decided to get one of these each to race around halls :).

Can I ask where you ordered yours from?

EDIT: Just learnt to read the thread properly, doh.

I always used to run rc cars but sold them years ago and have been thinking of getting another for a while now

The bearings and motors make quite a difference I always found

Can you trim the body posts down at all - think it would improve the look massively

I've had a look on the link you posted up - did you get the extra battery and better charger etc?

yes, all of the above :P

i have trimmed down the body mounting posts so it looks a bit better now. >_<

I've just ordered the manta ray ball diff, ball bearings and sports motor to do a bit of upgrading (don't tell the wife  ), the only thing is I've now got to take it all apart again to fit them, but should be worth it :(

not gone for the up-grade shocks yet as their a bit pricey :dozing:

and yes i went for the extra £30 option with fast charger and battery (replaces standard ones, not extra) and the free tin of paint. the battery charges in around an hour an a half, bit still only lasts around 12mins (going to time it when it stops raining)

looking at the scuff marks on the bottom of the chassis, has anyone made a "sump guard" for these sort of things ???????

You'd be amazed Anorak, I found this yesterday after reading your thread:

His website, lots of cool pictures and tips (including a sump guard):

I'm going to be ordering mine on Monday I think. Might make a full lengh under tray for the chassis out of some thin sheet steel I have in the cellar .

Just ordered my kit with a 12 turn ESC and a ballbearing kit :).

I think that nitro one is going on the wish list, although I've already got a Savage SS and that's probably enough in the nitro department haha.

My friend found a picture of the Tamiya electric Mini with Revo's on it. I'll get him to link me the pic tomorrow and show it here ;).

If your after spare parts and upgrades, try here. http://www.modelsport.co.uk/

Oh and the 1/8 mini is a standard 1/10 nitro, with a 1/8 mini shell.

If you start drinving in anger, expect the lower front wish bones to crack, your front hubs to thread, the dog bones to bend, and most of the front suspension pins to bend.

Me and my brothers used to keep a stock of these parts, but then we used to crash into trees and and each other alot. >_<

Was great fun though!! :shy:

Anybody know if that is just any 1/10 nitro or a certain chassis

Really want an RC mini but I know if I get a battery one I'll end up getting bored of the battery going flat, so wanting nitro really but then battery is cheaper
