also... for diff output shafts to twist like that you must had a silly strong diff?? i wouldve thought most diffs would just die at that kind of strain...

Its just a minispeed 4 pin diff. but i have a quaife lsd on order now.

Look what i got back after work on friday.
Then i sanded all the faces and washed it all out, this is how it looks now with its new shells.
Well today (sunday) was the first time I could make a good start on the engine, so now its all set to drop in when i can get the car on 4 wheels to get down to the house.
As i was at it i made a carb heatsheld.

Nice beam, Iv seen a couple of the KAD beams on other mini's. Arn't they a modified Minispares ally beam? Certainly a beautiful setup.. bet its light!

Like i sad mate its the first made in house setup there is some bits made better and so on.
the sub was 23kg all made up with no wheels and the new setup is 17.60 for the beam,arm,disc setup

looks fantastic and a great weight saving, and with the arms and discs should make a good unsprung weight saving.

yes i did mate, I sent the arms back to get the cone bit milled off and the disc set up was moted when i was at it.
