got my flip front and just thought that i would see how the grill looks and it doesnt fit, seems to be to big.... so what does fit in that slot or have i got to make a custom one

It doesn't fit in the slot, it fits on top of it like a normal front end.

Hmm shouldn't be hitting the lights. Maybe it's a really bad front or you may not have the grille end pieces pushed in right.
