Hi People,

We have just come to the end of the restoration of our mini (cherry).

and Would like to know what people think it may now be worth (mainly for insurance)

so here are a few photos of the little beast.

it has had a custom paint job in red with white pearl, it has a custom interior with bucket seats a custom made dash and stereo. engine is standard 998 with stage one kit (rc40 exhaust, engine steady, ultimate engine steady) k&n filter, samco hoses.
it has 12*6 supastar alloys and grp 6 archs.

We also have a boot lining kit that is ready to go in

there is now no rust on the car as it have been stripped and resprayed.

So how much is it worth.

Cheers

LOL sorry,

I think its a difficult one really, I often look in the back of mags and on the net for a good buy, and i see prices that to me seem way over the top. Personally i would say your Mini with full MOT would be worth £2000 to £2500. But to be honest I've no idea!

like with most minis you hardly ever get back the money you put it when you do a restoration to a high level ... unless its a rush cheep job (which yours isnt)

if this is for an insurence valuation say 4000 - 5000? to cover the cost of the car?

There is ALOT of love there!

I'd say you'd be able to get an agreed valuation of £4k, alternatively, take it to your local Mini Club and see what they have to say. I'd also suggest having a garage value it for you but only a Mini specific garage and make sure they know you're not trying to sell it to them.

photos are the best form or insurence that way you can prove that said items were on the car!

get the recipts for all the spent items ... STERIO CARPETS DASH ..evrything photo copy them and send them to the insurer

then get the price of the car without them for a standerd full restored car. this should give you a rought idea !

why is it being a 998 a shame. its not all about speed... there is this thing called a speed limit...... most uk roads have them ???
