Hopefully will have most welding done in 2 weeks (if all goes well) :erm:
Should be possible as im not doing anything else so i should have enough time.
But its taken me awhile to get to this point as ive been doing alot of work to me brothers car, after he bumped a Punto up the bum :nugget:
After crash
Few days ago
Its not going to be the original colour, and im gonna spray it, probly be black (possibly satin black) with white roof, and white wheels.
99% of the rust is within the bottom 15cm of the car (floor level) so most of it is hidden... well now it is after it has no front, and no scuttle panel.

Bit of progress, drivers floor has all bits in place, some welding needed to finish it when last panel is cut and bent to shape.
Then ill need to do some work at the rear of the car, then the sill can be welded on and the car rolled over to do the other side.

Today is shall be putting on the sill, yesterday i sprayed in the sill,
and the back of the new panel so they should be protected.
Divers floor is pretty much done, some grinding required but my brother has loaned our grinder out, and it wont be back till tonight, so ive missed 2 days of work
Also welded several smaller holes.
So for the drivers side i jsut need to put on the sill and weld some flat sheet metal in the boot floor (if i had some sheet metal) then i can roll her over and do the other side.
After the passenger side (which doesnt seem as bad, but is having a new sill) ive just got to weld on some new a panels, scuttle, rear valance and filler panels, and that should be it. Then i can get on to preping for paint and then painting!!!!
Should have some pics later tonight when the sill should hopfully be on!!!!!
and i may be poping to B&Q to get some Gold in the form of Sheet steel (i say gold because thats what it seems to cost)
and the back of the new panel so they should be protected.

How much would it be to send some? (1m x 0.5m from B&Q is £20)
I dont need HUGE panels.

Postage would prob make it the same price as B & Q. Have a look in the yellow pages for steel stockholders and see what they charge, the size of panel your after is prob concidered an off cut and they might even just give it you.

Car is on t'other side and has some holes in it (neat ones ready for new metal!)
with some already filled but not finished.
My brothers mini went for its MOT today!!!!!
It was running really rough the other day, and i found the vaccum lead to the ECU wasn't connected!!!! connected it and it ran sweet as a sweet thing covered in suger
Fail its MOT on 3 things,
small bit of rust in boot from where the spare used to be (easy fix)
o/s balljoint
incorrect head light beam pattern (those dam angel eye halogen head lights)
- anyone know what the correct bulb is for these?
so all in all not bad, and we have 10 days to sort it!!
