Just to reinforce what Dan is saying, I've had one of these plates on my car since 2003, and the car has only had 3 MOTs since then (SORNed), but every MOT tester has required me to attach an old plate properly for them to pass it. I obviously removed the normal plate after passing the tests - but if I was to be pulled over it would have been totally my fault. :s

ive got a stick on number plate on mine not had no trouble with it yet touch wood !

im not condoning people do this dan, but thanks for the info.. when i bought the plate i genuinelly didnt know about the regs.. the front will only be on for a week, just for the mitp.. went for my 1st drive yesterday and passed 2 police cars (typical) and they didnt stop me or anyfin. .. so hopefully should be ok for the next week. but still got my plate in the boot just in case.. looking good minimonty
