I've been in this sort of situation before when you want rid of your motor because youve seen another. I'd really try and flog your Pug on Autotrader, I've flogged my last 3 cars on there. It costs about £18 to put it on the website for two weeks with 9 pictures. I'd stick 12 months MOT on it (get it checked by someone you trust before you put it in for it's MOT) and put it on there. Give it a clean and polish and put it up for £1600 ono. That Mini does look nice and standard but £2500 for an auto is a bit steep.

I don't know too much about auto minis but I would imagine they're a bit less desirable than a manual one, so I wouldn't think that one would be flying off the forecourt. This might give you the extra time needed to sell your pug and also haggle with the dealer a bit especially if you'd be buying with cash.

I saw jimmys car it come from PL minis didnt it?
I liked that but my other half wants as late a mini as we can get so short of getting a japan import i think they didnt make the uk autos much past an N Plate did they? I think you got a great little car for the money jimmy :P

Yep, P&L. Thanks, I thought it was a bit of a find when I saw it.. As for the auto thing one could always have an auto box fitted to one of the 1275s in the 97 on Minis, I know they did a 1275 auto so shouldn't be a problem. Not be cheap, though :/ They might have done autos past N reg, but good luck finding one :P
