no, i think its designed NOT to twist apart if it goes together right, there really is a lot of force on there holding it together and as we all said, your suspension seems to be straight.

its very hard to get the cone and trumpet in the right place and then start unwinding the compression tool and hold it all together etc etc etc. you need two hands to undo the tool and at least one to hold the suspension parts. if i remember right, you didnt have three hands when i saw you O_O

i promise you, if it sags again, I'm coming over to have a look, as its will be bugging me as well then :(

No still just the 2 hands..not mutated yet lol :P
Thats what I thought, my neighbour who helps me out quite a lot, albeit not a mini expect thought it was caused by it falling out but I disagree with him and with what you said above...theres a lot of forces in play :D

Ok heres hoping..roll on tommorrow night. Will keep you all posted. If not there will be 2 minis in my road yay! lol

I dont know if its related to the new subframe mounts to stop that +/- 1" movement of the front subframe on the rear mounts, but
when I am driving along when I turn and come out of a turn get a rattling sound...could low oil or a discbrake stone guard thats broke on 1 of its mounts,...

I have just got the same problem as you, only I changed the dampers over to GAZ adjustable.

After taking it for a test drive I noticed that when I went over small pot holes the driver’s side suspension made a big knocking sound :o had a look and realised the wheel was almost touching the arch. I have read all posts on this topic but quite frankly I’m very confused as I have never taken the suspension apart before, also I really don’t know why its done it in the first place as I have never touched it.
Just wondering if it’s exactly the same problem as Karl?

Many thanks Glen :D
