My cars going for its MOT on thursday, not worried about it just hoping it passes, if not got plenty of time until it runs out. If anything i think it will fail on a tyre and emissions or somthing else. Hope it doesnt fail, will be so happy!

Just assume it'll fail and get the tools ready to fix it before its free re-test runs out
That way you cant be disappointed!

Failed

It needs welding to the boot floor, the sills needs seem welding as they have been spot welded, excessive play in both front ball joints, the front subframe front mounts are not attached. Corrosion to boot floor, steering rack boot spit, also my emissions where 7.77 and it should have been 3.5

All of this i can get done myself, except the steering rack as i will need the tracking done again!!

I thought it was ok to have the sills spot welded as this is what was done in the factory?!

Its a over sill, needs to be welded fully. Although it passed last year like it was.

replacement panels can be spot welded, so if original sills are used then that is ok, anythine else, patches ( inc oversills ) need seam welding.

Changing the steering rack boot is not that bad, can be done on the car.. you just need to undo the tiebar balljoint and slide the boot on, and tie it up. if you carfully note where then nut was previously fixed ( dob of paint works for me ) you can put it back as it was, and it'll not be far out.

Got a quote for my welding today, 50 to 60 quid to get it all done, think that is quite good for what needs doing, just need to book it in now.
