ok cheers for the info.


my advice for a 17yo looking to modify heavily would be to buy the car early and get it insured straight away. Then 2 years down the line when you finally finish it you'll be 19 and have 2 yes ncd

Do it on a 25yr plus old car classed as a classic :)

a 17 year old can insure anything! it's just how much money it'll cost you that's the problem. :)


nope, you will get told for certain cars 'no'.

They'll only take it as a modified car, and may now ask for engineers reports. My renewal has just cost £345.50. :)
