hi all,

ive fitted miglia arches to my mini and want it as low as possible but im having the problem that when the wheels are turned they are going to hit the arche, also the bacl the back end of the arche is like mm's away from the wheel but then at the top it looks aboit right. i dont know if im getting this across very well but i havnt got a camera at the moment.anyway have people cut the bit of fibreglass that is vertical to the car off, its asiff there isnt enough room for the wheel inbtween each side of the arche. like i said the front and back bits of the arches are very close.

could someone post some pics of low miglia arches please or give me a bit of advice.

mini turbo pete - could you get in contact about getting your mini to sit low but still be able to turn lol cheers

you will find that he has tubbed his rear arches so that the car can sit a couple of inches lower at the back and the front well jsut need to be placed right ;D his car sits perfect

When your fitting the rear ones, place the rear of the arch against seam near the bumper, hold the rest of the arch against the car and rotate it until the front of the arch touches the sill seam.

This is where the arches should go and with the wheel and arch in place you should have an equal gap in front and behind the wheel and a slightly bigger gap above it.


For the front arches just keep the rear of the arch in place (about 10mm from the sill seam) and then rotate the front of the arch so its about the same height as the indicator lens screws. This way they have an equal gap all round the wheel but give just enough clearance to clear the wheel when turning.

Yeah its the best way to do it, I found the rear ones weren't as bad as the front since there the 2 seams to line it up against.

With my front ones i fitted the wheels and just took a guess at where they'd need to be - It turned out that the front of the arch needed to be inline with the indicator lens screws when looking at the front of the car.

yeah they are already fitted, but it sounds like ive done it exactly the same just need to raise it up a bit i may trim a bit off the front ones to give a bit more clearance for turning, just about how much have you aloud for inbetween the arche an tyre when at it closest point may i ask.
