just been thinking about what sort of power can come from a 998 and how much you have to change to get a good improvement from the standard BHP.

hope to hear from you soon.

mine simply had an LCB alloy inlet manifold and straight through centre exit when it went on the rolling road. got 48 at the flywheel and 31 at the wheels i think... lol, i now have a pancake filter and it seems a tad faster as the man said my stndard filter was holding it back slightly...

My spec keeps growing daily but:

998 bored +20, 12G295 head flowed etc., Lightened fly, Elec fuel pump, Duplex timing gear, Megajolt, Morspeed PH2 cam, and a HIF38. No idea what its gonna get at the wheels, but 60 would be nice.

It runs off a diffrent belt, (which dosent go to the alternator) The battery needs be charged up before every race meeting, Lasts for around 10start ups, and if it runs out its just gets push started.

The Aus SC12 kit I used probably cost me about 750 inc loads of other costs like the RR setup, oil catch tank etc. all you need to know is HERE! on my build thread

Not being funny mate but I very much doubt that those figures are achievable with that sort of spec. From what you have said the engine is losing 8bhp through the transmission, you must have something very special to loose so little bhp to the wheels.

My A series 998 fully re-built with vanderall bearings, a 276 kent cam, freeflow manifold, stage 5 12g295 head skimmed 20 tho, double valve springs, rimflow valves (29mm and 35mm), minisport ultralite flywheel and back plate, electric competition fuel and oil pump, cooper s c/r box with straight cut jack knight drop gears with a 3.2 diff, and competition hardened diff pin, central oil pick up, hif 38, 10 row oil cooler.

I previously had 68bhp at the flywheel with metro cam, 3.9 diff . Now I am hoping for 75bhp at the flywheel with the 276, oil cooler and uprated exhaust system.
