could you have longer top and bottom arms, and steering rods, and driveshafts? i'm sure they dont do this but is it possible?

Yes you could, anything is possible, but this way you change your entire car. Therefor the figures on your documents don't match anymore. Which will get you in trouble with MOT and you need a lot of things tested and done. So not worth the hassle unless you are looking at a pure race car.
I could go into depth as to what troubles you could get into by basically making your front wider (i.e. with spacers) but I think most of you know.
