Which no doubt also stands for those who like to 'TAILGATE'?
I don't like people who drive slowly or below the speed limit, but I also can't stand tailgating too!
Lol, we'd probably get on fine then as tailgating involves sitting close behind someone for prolonged periods. I wouldn't be there very long I can assure you!![]()
You are of course absolutely right that tailgating is dangerous and I suppose I would rather let them get past (if possible) than take a hit in the rear by some uninsured type who runs off across the nearest field.
Anyway, hopefully we can agree that it is best to show consideration for other road users and especially if they are driving reasonably too. I haven't mentioned yet that I drive a manual Pajero and use it to tow on and off road sometimes as part of my work. While when not towing I rarely cause obstructions I regularly allow others past when I'm pulling a couple of tons. It does save some pratt in a Saxo trying to beat me round a blind bend and offing the family hatch back coming the other way!
So hopefully it is neither of us that is actually the inconsiderate types we come across on the roads most days.
Yes I'd say that's the case.

Also do get tailgated alot, its so annoying they dont actually get anywhere from doing it, if anything they will get there slower. an audi did try to undertake me through a left only lane onto a roundabout. He didn't stand a chance to be honest. i think he was trying to show off to his son in the passenger seat.
i also enjoy the pleasures of having a mini mini. Parking spaces. we have little corner space at college, basically th onle person who could get in them. ive also done the petrol staion thing as well.

So I don't get all worked up as it's not worth it, no I just carry on and enjoy driving because it's only the minority who seem to be bad drivers.

i know its not tailgating, but a few days back i was going down a one way system, and there were two lanes, one to go into the first car park, and one to carry on to the second carpark and the cross roads, a 4x4, big merc m class i think, went into the left lane to the first car park, and i went into the second lane for the crossroads, so i went on, not speeding, the merc had slowed down to about 20, so i was "over taking him" and when i was level with him, he started to swerve into me, obviously didnt know the road or saw there were no parking spaces or something to that nature, but he didnt even look! so i had to accelerate to avoid being squashed, and he had the nerve to flash his lights and honk his horn at me! i didnt want to argue with him, because his car is a lot bigger and heavier than mine, but who the hell did he think he was!
A road hog, that's who he was.
