I can see your theory but i drive a 44 ton artic and i must get half a dozen suicide attempts every day. Its not the car its the nut behind the wheelLittle rant coming...
A number of times recently, I've had drivers (of all ages and genders) pull out on me and potentially cause a accident. I swear its because I'm driving a mini and they think we're stupidly slow or something. I go as fast as anyone else
It's really starting to annoy me!

What Is It With Drivers

My horn and I have a very good relationship, I'm not afraid to use it a lot at these people!! As well as many gestures

I have noticed that most of the other drivers who do this sort of thing own BMWs, including binis

These people just obviously don't understand the capabilities of minis and don't give a poo most of the time

To be fair, I think it happens in most cars, the fella always gets pulled out on, whether hes in his 323 or 200SX. I think it all just comes down to that theres too many impatient idiots on the road

One thing I do find in my daughter's Mini (group 5 arches, mirror-filmed windows) is that it invites the chavs & boy racers to take it on, far more than my standard-looking Mini does. I had an 08 reg twingo attempt to catch me on a roundabout yesterday in it - some hope! (I'd already left him standing at two sets of lights - and it's only a boggie 998!)

So after my wife read this topic and as the rear window is quite dirty from these rainy days, she went and wrote:

I was following a car the other day that has a sticker saying something along the lines of:
"If you can read this, then i can slam on the brakes and sue you". Quite funny but i bet it wouldn't do any favours if that driver gets hit from the rear.

I've taken to making sure people know exactly what I think of their driving when they pull this little stunt.
Tell on? Just what do you do?
I've got a sign that I hold up. It's very simple,
"learn how to drive w****r."
LOL, I'll have to get one of those.

It seems that it's okay to tailgate but completely wrong to slow down when you are being tailgated!
what the hell?

That is not anyone has said and I think if anyone cares to read the thread they will see that! . It is bad driving and poor road manners that have been complained about. You really do want to make an issue/argument out of this don't you. Perhaps a copy of the highway code should be sent to you as you seem to have forgotten the fundamentals! I so did not want to offend any one as I have pointed out repeatedly but to no avail. If you are this rude on the road I'm not at all surprised that you run into trouble!Have you seen this similar thread in 'Mini Chat'?

Which no doubt also stands for those who like to 'TAILGATE'?
I don't like people who drive slowly or below the speed limit, but I also can't stand tailgating too!

Lol, we'd probably get on fine then as tailgating involves sitting close behind someone for prolonged periods. I wouldn't be there very long I can assure you!

You are of course absolutely right that tailgating is dangerous and I suppose I would rather let them get past (if possible) than take a hit in the rear by some uninsured type who runs off across the nearest field.
Anyway, hopefully we can agree that it is best to show consideration for other road users and especially if they are driving reasonably too. I haven't mentioned yet that I drive a manual Pajero and use it to tow on and off road sometimes as part of my work. While when not towing I rarely cause obstructions I regularly allow others past when I'm pulling a couple of tons. It does save some pratt in a Saxo trying to beat me round a blind bend and offing the family hatch back coming the other way!
So hopefully it is neither of us that is actually the inconsiderate types we come across on the roads most days.
