How do you think the body shops do it?

But give me a shout, I will help you get her all sorted again and I have some very good friends at full circle in marden and im sure i could get them to put it on their jig and give it a tug.
I would say the front subby and engine have taken the brunt of it and as a result pushed the mounting points back. I'm only down the road and will hopefully be able to do as much as possible to help you.
Good that the van guy was ok, any chance or sorting it outside the insurance might cost you some dollar now but will save money in the long run.
Once again, is a great shame as she was a very pretty mini, so you only have to ask for my help

everythings moved back a bit making the linkage to long so it's effectivly stuck in one gear. i bought a write off with a "broken" engine and managed to drive it home!! (on private roads)

As you hit a van just watch out for all the hidden items they might claim for loss of earnings etc, they could be huge.
Glad your ok shame about the mini, but you can always buy another one day

ive thought about it. need to do some research into it but surely there is a limit as to how much jigging can actually sort out. well we'll see if it is an option or not later.JIG IT!!!!!!

yeah the guy in the van was really nice about it. he cant have been much older than me and went to tech in the past and said he'd seen me around. im not sure if ill be able to bypass the insurance company. it was a company van so im sure theyll just call up insurance and get them to deal with it. but im going to give the guy a text just to make sure anyway. it'll save a fair bit on my insurance premium and will it bypass the car status becomming write-off? if it does thatll save some insurance etc too. just have to wait and see. one thing you can count on is ill still be going to mini meets and ill still be on here 24/7!
just got stuff out of the car and the front right hand bracket of the drivers seat has also bent and the crossmember has mishaped a bit. just thank god the seat belt worked. sure as hell saved my life!

end of the day they could claim off of you but you don't have to claim for your car if you really want to keep it. something to bear in mind.
metal can be re-shaped Oli - it will live again
