i stopped at a roundabout today and a van hit the back of my car. my 13000 mile car!. i think i might cry
luckily hes admitted responsibilty and i should be able to get it fixed.
the rear valence is bent, the bumper is bent, the panel where the boot hinges mount is bent so the boot doesnt sit flush or shut properly, the boot lid has hit the fuel tank and moved it (luckily not much and there no leaks) and the boot floor has a nice crease in it
the subframe appears ok and the car still drives straight.
pics soon....

Ahh dude. that sucks!
Ive trashed my car too. So we are in the same boat. However, it was my fault for what I did to my car. I wasnt paying enough attention to the island on the way off a mini roundabout...
BUMP!
Going to find out whats wrong with it when I get home on monday. But all I know is, my car wont drive in a straight line...

here's a few pics, bad quality, taken on my phone..
this shows my bent bumper and general flatness at the rear.
creased boot floor...
this part is bent inwards aswell, my car's prabably an inch shorter!
you cant really tell from the picture bu the boot lid is bent in at this side and out at the other.

Gutted.
I hope you get it all sorted soon. Looks like it will be an expensive repair!

yes it probably will, but his insurance will have to stump up the cost, so i'll take it to the most expensive place i can think of

Bums. Is there any way you can benefit from this, like having extra work done by your friendly local mechanic/engineer/repairer and charged to Mr Nitwitvandriver's insurer? :cheese: (Of course, I haven't suggested this and you haven't read it) :nugget:

Don't be suprised if the insurance write the car off chap, it's a mini and they are worth next to nothing in thier eyes and a boby shop will probly say it needs jigging out to which can be expensive.
I broke the window on a car at work by accident once when something fell over and hit it, the repacement window was £90 and the insurance wrote it off.
