After a tip off from a friend I tootled down to Halfords today and came back with a shiney orange trade card.
It save you a blinkin fortune on anything you spend your hard earned on in the shop (apart from Ripspeed but then who buys that tat)
The best thing is you dont need to be in the trade. Just bring any random City and Guilds or qualification that is loosly linked to Engineering or mechanics and something with your adress on and Hey Presto cheap parts !! or if you are in the Forces you can blag them with your ID card.
I bought some bulbs today for a nissan was £4.50 RRP got them for 79p bargain I say.
My mate bought a Roll cab of them, the nice black one they do and got 40% off.
Just thought I'd share this

You do need to be in the trade to get a card, unless you go to a store that will just give them out willy-nilly. If you're in the forces, you will need documentation of your job title etc etc, again, unless you go to a store that isn't that bothered

Oh, and the discounts on parts are not too bad are they

Wouldnt want to drop anyone in it.
I also read on another forum that they give them out to certain club/forum members just because they are members.
and your right the discounts are very very good especially with the amount I spend in there.

Get yourself down there and try to find someone over the age of 16 to sort you out, the first teenage empoyee I spoke to didnt have a clue but the old dear behind the parts counter sorted me out a treat.

Wouldn't be a certain type of General Motors owners club would it?

Discounts on batteries are also very good, sometimes saving £40+ !!
