... in a print of their Mini on track?


I'm going down to Coombe in a couple of weeks and wondered if I took my kit, if anyone would be interested in purchasing a photo of their car on track?

I won't be able to guarantee which cars I capture and I won't be able to get every one (as I have a shopping list for the Van so need to get 'round the show, too!) - But if I posted up thumbnail results of the cars that I did get, I wondered if people would be interested in purhaps purchasing prints?


Prints would be on specialist Canon paper - Either matt or glossy depending on preference.


Just gauging interest, really!?

I would but im not sure if i want to go round the track, just the worry of going back on a tow truck.

I got a bunch of pictures from a guy at the Action Day a "few" years ago. His assistant would come down the pit lane asking if you wanted photos and if you was interested she would put a little orange sticker in the top corner of your windscreen and you had to fill out a from with your reg number and address details. A couple of weeks later a page of thumb print contacts of your car would turn up and if you liked any you had to send a cheque back with your order and the full size prints would arrive a week or so later. This was the pre-digi age so things took a bit longer to arrive.

I don't know if this guy paid Combe or Mini World to be allowed to take photos, but if you turn up with a professional looking photographers kit someone may start asking questions.

Thanks for the info, Pogie. As far as I know, I don't need a pass unless I want a place within the fences - It's been the same at Oulton and Rockingham. There's a decent number of places around the trackside without going past the public space though, so judging from last year, the results should be fine!

After that, it'd be my copyright but your car!

(Meaning that I can't use the image without your permission, but you can't manipulate or sell the image on!)


I'm not looking to make a huge amount of money doing it and I certainly don't want to tread on anyone's toes - I'd just like the opportunity and if people are pleased with what I get, I can pass it on!

sounds like a great idea, think my gf's Bro will be on track so if you get a photo of him im sure he'd have a copy.

as for price,

What sizes will you be doing.

maybe give the option of three size's then price them acordingly...

so maybe 7.50 for the smallest going up to £15 for a big print say on A3 or something along those lines.
