Due to my busy workload of coursework I had not driven my mini for 5 days so it had been sat un driven in the freezing temperatues of the last 2 weeks snow and ice. We had temperatures below 10 degrees.
So, I was ready to set off for the meet, turned the ignition and nothing! Completely flat.
Ofcourse i panicked as i was meant to get to the meet for 7:30, a 15 minute driveaway and the time was 7:10 and was not going anywhere!
I ran into the house told my dad who moved his car to the back of mine and we tried jump starting it. Jodie (favminigirl) and brother Dan waited patiently as they were following me to the meet. "Dan was useless holding a torch on the battery as he kept moving it and playing with his phone!" comment from my dad. Fourth time lucky and it started. I gave it a good run around the town then upto the meet with it sounding very rough.
Got to the meet, sue and graham were on time, attempted parking in the car park which was full of snow, got stuck, reversed out, couldnt park it straight so parked at an angle. This set a trend as cars that arrived later did the same. Turned the engine off and on again and there was no problem.
BIG THANKS TO MY DAD FOR HELPING ME OUT
HERE are the PICS of TMF's 1st Meet
