It doesn't say you have to invent the thing, nor does it say if you did you couldn't sell patent rights etc on top of your discount. You could just pick something out of the Argos catalogue, pretty generous offer on that basis. I'm going for a sleeping bag with feet in so you can still change gear.

i thought the spamming as you call it, is constructive yet amusing. it is demonstrating to the OP that his proposal has be read , cogitated and replied to by those forum users who could be bothered to reply. it has been done in an amusing and NOT BORING fashion. fair enough if the "spam" was off topic but its not.

Thtis company is seeking to profiteer from a possible good idea in exchange for a one time offer of 25% off your next purchase. which A) you might not ever make B ) you might only spend a fiver and C ) might have cost you more to get anyway in R&D costs.

Its a joke.

The phrase "discount code" suggests to me that it's an ongoing discount. The Britpart electronic ignition kit someone found on a Landrover site is a good example, they generously used this forum to let other Minifans in on it. If they didn't fancy, or didn't think it was worthwhile, setting themselves up in business to exploit their find, this would be a nice incentive to share the knowledge and get a little reward for their effort.

Dear me! Did you read my post at all? I didn't say it was a good deal or a bad deal, my point was if you don't like it you don't have to go along with it. I'm sure anyone out there with a few good ideas doesn't need you to tell them whether this is a good idea or not either. I'm not sure how coming on here and telling people whats a good deal and what isn't makes you a leader of men?
