I'm Planning to make my mini (monty) stand out a bit more at shows etc, and have cobbled this idea together on photoshop in 5 minutes, what do you guys think?

heres a pic without the number on the side ... its now got a number 7 (crossed out with red as per legal requirements for road use)

I like the bonnet and roof ... although I would continue the triple white stripe on the roof too, continue the theme


would you do the back the same .... that would realy make it stand out

That does look really good mate! In the first set of pics are the wheels white? If not they should be. Thew stripes over the whole car looks better, goot suggestion phil! Not sure about the thre spots but thats your choice.

I think white wheels are awesome, if only i had a darker car. Don't think white would suit a light green car.

Also What tool do you use so that you keep all of the reflections? I do have photoshop so if someone can give me a quick rundown on what tools to use that'd be great cheers!

I selected what part of the car i wanted to change colour with the polygonal lassoo tool (purely because its easier, use plenty of little lines to make bends smooth). then ctrl. c ctrl. v it and it will appear in a new layer (this makes it easier to edit). After this i select the whole layer (right click with the box selector and select select all) then go to image>adjustments>desaturate - this takes all colour away. then go to image>adjustments>variations and it gets self explanitory! sorry if anythings rong, did that from memory. I'd do your wheels 4 ya mate but i gotta go now, ill do em if i get bak and ed4ran hasnt dun em yet, peace.

did this to mine while i was at it, continued the stripes between the bonnet and windscreen!

It never came with it, ill hav 2 go down the scrappies and see what theyv got, the more i look at the back the better it looks, im gonna get a spray gun thingy 1 hell of a lot of masking tape and make a start wen we get the garage!

it looks superb !!

when you do it ... get some pin line tape from a good paint shop .. then mask up to it ...

if you dont you will not get a clean edge on your stripes
