I don't like the sound of that!

I was in a carpark once setting up my amp for my subs in a previous car, i don't like to do it at home as i don't want people to know what i got in the car. However, about 20 minutes in a police car came round, at this time i had it off luckily.

He asked me the same thing, he said he was off duty and wanted to hear it.. I thought that was well dodgey! I just said nah and he chipped on after about 10 minutes. Blatently someone in the carpark complained about the noise and they were coming to check it out.

No doubt in my mind, if i blared it out, they would say "right we have had reports of this blah blah" and i'd have got a ticket or something!

Yea, i was such a rebel when i was younger.. carparks for sound systems :D

Looks good :- very similar to the grille my old Mini "Bumble" had on, but I can't take credit for it, it wqas black when I got it though and I sprayed it silver:

Only problem is, as you mgiht be able to see on the pics, all the black *rubbish* flying around around the oil filter bang in the middle of the grille can stick to the mesh even on the outside, making it look as though it's not been sprayed properly :(

I know it's an old thread, but thought I'd correct this.

Them being turned off is no excuse, the law states there must be no light fitted to the vehicle that are capable of emitting anything other then white light to the front of the car when switched on. (with exception of indicators).

Equally nothing except red light to the rear, (with the exception of reversing lights and indicators).

I just took all the slats out my old grill, picked all the old paint off (it all fell off!) sprayed it bright red, then attatched the chrome surround. ;)
Getting to black mesh for it soon. Just wondering if I'd be able to mount the top surround onto the grill, instead of having it on the bonnet?

Problem is, it doesn't fit flat onto the grill, as it curves with the bonnet. Is your one attatched in the first picture? Or it it going on the bonnet?

Ta.
