I love the fact that in a mini, you can tell what it is going t do before it does it (most of the time!)
With power steering, you wouldnt get that "go kart" feel.

ive seen it once one a john cooper special thing come to think of it that had air con to, but there isnt much point if u started adding that much wait and not being able to feel the car properly then it just becomes a fiesta in my opinion

think u can fit the corsa electric power steering mechanism.
but it aint cheap and might be a bit too light. corsa is a bit of a girly car.

I'm sure it's possible but can I ask why you want power steering in your mini...?

Mini's are plenty light as they are...I mean I have no trouble steering mine, parking is a doddle and I can parallel park the boyfriend's mini which has 7x13s on :w00t:

MGf's have power steering, but some owners turn it off as it recks the handling, they sometimes fit a switch so they can use it for parking. If you fitted it too a Mini the same would happen, you would nolonger feel the road like you do now. But there is always the option of having a switch for it, if you want it just for parking.

Wood & Pickett used to do power steering kits for Minis, but it cost a fortune.

u can put corsa power steering on ive done it and it is the best thing u can do if u have 13" wheels or wide wheels. u can control it to be light when parking then move a dial and it goes to hard steering for when going fast
go to www.16vminiclub.com under general queries there is a section about it (7th line down) a lot of us have put power steering on
