I am gonna try to get the windshield in tonight. I have some more buffing to do to get it perfect but I'm very happy with it so far. I love a clean black car.

I am impressed. The paint looks fantastic - nice and texture-free. How much experience do you have doing bodywork? It looks like quite a bit.
Thanks a bunch. This is the third car I've ever painted and the third I've restored. I do a lot of research and buy/borrow quality tools. Body work is very repetitive to get it straight as glass. long blocks an guide coats are the key.. oh and patience.
I have some new updates. I got all my windows seals installed. I tried without the chrome insert tool and failed..... My buddy bought the tool and it was so friggin simple.
I found a set of brand new innocenti tail lights in ebay. I really only needed the nice chome housings and the back up lens. so I used my amber/red lens on the new lights because the innocenti ones had ghetto clear lenses which looked like ass.
I've been busy working on the interior in the back so I can get the seats back in place. I'll get more pictures of that later. I found on little tiny spot of rust under the back seat about the size of a quarter. not even a hole. just surface rust. I scraped it and applied POR15
All the wireing is in place and working
Also picked up a new turn signal switch. It was wrong but I was able to make it work. the shaft hub was a tad bit larger and the pin outs were different. so I repinned it and moved parts from my old to the new and it works a treat.
pictures.

Thanks all..
My phone takes pretty nice pictures so it's very simple to keep up with them. plus I can push them up to the FTP right from my phone rather then plugging it in, formatting the pictures.. etc etc. bla blaa blaaaaaa.
I just dropped off all the door panels at my local upholsterer. He is gonna do the top 2/3s in vinyl, some red Piping and the lower 1/3 in material. he seemed pretty excited. probably because they will be easy to do.
I'll then have to get new carpet and have the seats redone....$$$$.
I still have the engine bay and engine to do next. woot. that's the fun stuff. $$$
I've never pulled a motor on a mini, but from some of the other posts on here, it looks easy.
I'll have plenty of questions about the engine rebuild I'm sure. Thank you TMF,
Tom
My rabbit (golf) was in this months issue of Eurotuner. Pretty please about that. a friend uploaded some scans of the article with pictures.
also won best engine at the local show this weekend.

Thomas, I bet the Golf flies!

ahh, I've had a few caddys. loved them.
On a different note... I should have the hood and trunk lids painted this weekend. I'll be applying the silver for the stripes on the hood first then taping them off to apply the black. Ill remove the masking and apply the clear over both. should be nice.
