yeah jackman the carb is looking quite good. just took it to bits and cleaned it with carb cleaner. then rebuilt it with an su rebuild kit and a polished dashpot!
the filter is expensive but its a quality bit of kit!

thats about it for the moment then, i have still yet to finish the install in my brothers mini, his car is the absolute opposit to mine with a dvd player, neons and sub etc.
this is all the stuff i had to get into the boot along with a 12" sub, this sort of explains why i havent actually done anything on my car!
sorry about the piccie

Them tyres look sweet!! :cheese: Is that them stretched to 7 inches in that pic. If so, do you reckon they would take another half inch?

streached with the cans they are still under 7". i would say theres know way would they go on 7.5" everyone i speak to says 6" is the safe limit for 165 tyres.
i am having trouble getting people to fit my tyres at 7" wide.
i know this might be an expensive option but how about buying thinner rims to bring your wheels down to 7" wide.

having just had a look on the mini films website i have decided that i will wait till the end of march till the dvd comes out on how to build a 1380. the dvd look excellent and the engine spec should produce 100bhp and 100lb/ft of torque this should be more that enough for my needs.
i cant find out how to post a link on this new site but will add one when i find out how!
i have just gone and bought a valve spring compressor so i have stripped the head fully now.
ok i worked it out now. have a look there is a 7 min long preview of the dvd.

I love your plans for the car MOWOG...they sound fantastic!
I've a black Cooper on 10s with roll cage and stuff and everything you want to do to your mini is everything I want to do with mine....I use mine everyday though so some of the mods arent practical
Best of luck with it anyway
