primer is now fully flatted down and ready for the basecoat, painting the roof in purple first, flatted it down with 320 on the da and by hand in tricky areas, once that was done across the whole car (guide coat dissapeared and all pinholes sorted out) whole car was flatted with 500 on the DA... for the roof we are going to paint it only flatting back to 500 grit but for the body and all silver parts I will wet flat 1000 grit :)

hope your all having a good easter :)

Looking good! What colour are you going for? I think I've seen your car around, I'll have to look out for the new colour when it's done now ;-)

I've seen it in Luton a couple of times, think possibly at Knebworth last year too? Live in Harpenden so often passing through :)
Sounds good though, look forward to seeing it! I'd love to have the time / space and tools to learn to spray mine, as well as learning to weld. One day!

ahh yeah been luton a few times, and yeah it was at knebworth :) yeah its been a hella of a learning curve, my full time job is electrical enigineering haha! but im a welder aswell! so now ive completed the set by learning not only how to prep the car but how to spray it aswell.. its been fun was a bit scared to start with but with my cousins advise and help its been fine :) shoudnt be long till its back on the road :)

alos i think the actuall compressor and spray guns are a big investment but obviosuly ive used my cousins spray booth so its been fine on that front ahha
