And here is the bolt that put me back 30 hours...

IMG_4206_zps5b4366e7.jpg

So now that's out, engine is mounted, starter motor is on, slowly gonna put the rest of the ancils back on.

Think I'm gonna change my track rod ends and ball joints while I have it all off the car.

Loads of progress today. Alternator, servo, master cylinder, brake pipes, engine steady all on. Cables connected and identified. Clutch bleed.

Gonna try and sort out my crazy electronics next week...

Hopefully connect the NODIZ, splash of oil and see if she fires up.

So new goodies arrived including all my new ball joints and track rod ends which are still to fit. However I did fit my new dampers as it was one of my fails on the last test...

Nothing special just the cheapy ones, but they will do for now and they look good against the green body.

A few issues I had

First. Hadn't connected the third (earth) wire to my coil pack...

Then timing/advance was out...

Then I killed the battery...

Up and running for the first time, running the base NODIZ map...

And as she is running now (on a private road)...

Im in the process of doing ball joints ect. Once that's all done I need a rolling road, tune carb and map ignition.

Project Revival

Back living in the UK again now and time to kick Chloe back into life. Current state:

Bodywork - As pictures above

Engine - Not running due to timing on the NODIZ

Electrics - New battery fitted and wiring pretty much done

Booked in with Dorchester Mini Centre to get the bodywork sorted and assist with the timing. Then its MOT prep and hopefully MOTd and Taxed ready for the summer.
