I'd say get the roller rockers, +40 thou is 1312cc? Correct.

If your building an engine of that caliber then 1.5 Ratio Roller Rockers will be a good add on, especially with the 276 cam

So I say yes. Get them.

Its from a seller on ebay, here is a link to one of his engines, he has others for sale on there too, It seems he has had some good positive feedback from previous customers. http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1423.l2649

I am looking for some parts to help with the auto - manual conversion,
I am in need of a complete rod type gear selector and complete gear linkage and a clutch pedal with spring or a complete pedal box, all must be in good condition,
was thinking for the price that i may as well buy the clutch master & slave cylinder brand new, also the braided clutch hose and manual engine steady i think i shall buy new, I have a new manual subframe ready and waiting for the conversion.too,
Is there anything i need that i may of missed out to complete the conversion.

why not use the auto to manual engine mounts, saves the hassle of dropping the frame out.

I have a gear linkage setup complete, but would be looking for about £35 for it as they aint cheap when you need one.

Cheers Jordie, I have thought of the idea of using the auto sub frame with the mounts, I may do this and sell the new manual sub frame i have,
As for the gear linkage setup I will take it mate if its complete and in good condition, PM your paypal details and i shall send you payment mate

That sounds like a good engine specification.
With regard to the 1.5:1 roller rockers I know they don't give much improvement in a car with a much 'hotter' cam like a 286, but they will probably give a more worthwhile improvement with a 276. You could gain, maybe, 3 bhp at over 5000 rpm, but will lose a bit of bottom end torque.
You do need good carburation with that spec and either an HIF44 or a pair of HS4's would work well.
Exhaust needs to be either a freeflow 3-into-1 or LCB manifold and a 1.75" int. dia exhaust system.

I hope this helps.

You will find that it will run very well like that, but you might want to consider a distributor with a different advance curve from standard. Eith a programmable one or an Aldon 'Yellow' would do well.
You should get some very useable power and good mid-range torque as well. Enjoy!

Thankyou very much for the advice mate its very much appreciated, I shall definitely have a look over the forum and have a good read up about the options given for the distributor ;-)
