From a solely personal point of view as I have a Van.

Why cannot van/pickups have there own section within the forum. Where owners would be able to put their build threads, completed cars, parts links, technical questions and general banter.

At the moment there seems to be enough build threads and owners to warrant it is there not? Currently we have to use our own build threads to communicate with each other.

After all there's a hole section for minis with funny hair dryer engines.

Anyway mid afternoon musing over.

Matt

The case against this is that people like me will just not read the threads anymore. We will miss out, as the van builders have some great ideas.

I'd class clubby estates in with us guys Kappa... where one van based happy family.

I can see where your coming from but to counter that I tend to miss the Van threads as they get mixed up in the saloon thread easily and can drop off within a few hours.

Plus we feel outcast as we don't have a place to chat like you saloon kids do.

But then people will want a section for clubbys, mokes, kit cars etc. There's already more sections than necesary.

Any questions etc that are related to lonf wheel base minis, are the same for a saloon generally.

A long wheel baae project section could work, but people miss-use it already

SAL maybe you can start a topic where all Van-related Q & A's can be posted? Or just some inspirational pics?

I agree it's nice to keep all the info together. Even though I love every other mini, despite it's bodyshape, since I own a Van, that's what I look for the most!
Just my 2 cents.

To be totally blunt about it, I don't think there's enough demand for it. Plus if we do this, do we also have a Clubby section, Estate section, Woody section, Pickup section.... I think it'll segregate the forum too much as there are already a LOT of sections on here.

They would all be under the LWB umbrella ?

I agree.

The Motorsport section was a good move.

Forum is perfect how it is :)

I personally think its a great idea to have a LWB section. Of course there will be non LWB members that will not want or like this but it would tidy the forum up into 2 sections Mini and LWB...!

PLEASE Mr TMF or I will have to take my TMF stickers off my van and I know you wouldnt want me to do that!

So is that a yes then?

Frankly I am surprised you dont have a Van / LWB section anyway!
