How about we have a projects section and admin/members evaluate the pros and cons after a trial period?

So would we also need a lwb sub-section for general rebuilds, engine conversions and then full resorations like we currently have?

I'm not saying no. Just saying that I don't know if there's enough demand yet.

I don't think anybody wants that, plus IMO all restorations, engine builds and repairs come under "LWB projects"

How are engine conversions different for lwb as apose to saloons?

There's no denying lwb projects different from saloon's.

The basic idea is to create some order in the project section. This does NOT mean all the other sections need segretation. This also doesn't mean there should be segretations for different types of saloons, since these are the same bodywise.

Seperating cheese from meat, doesn't mean there also should be steak sections, ham, lamb etc. Stick to the point!

I dont even understand what 'mini engined projects' is meant for. is it for engine builds, or projects with mini engines? EVERYTHING ends up in there!

Contreversial to what I already said, I think the project area could do with tidying up.. What about:

Saloon projects
LWB projects
Moke's and kit cars
Engine conversions

Other projects

I do agree juststeve on that a lot of builds in the engine section arent relevant. But with the nwmes as you suggest it would be easier to understand.

If people report them, we'll take a look at them, we can't read the whole forum all of the time so we need to be told it people think something is in the wrong place.

Hold we seem to be digressing I'm only talking about have a LWB section on the projects thread not splitting the hole forum.

In which case I'm sorry, as I've misunderstood what you were suggesting in your original post, (where you mentioned having your own section for technical questions, parts, banter etc as well.) :shy:

Why cannot van/pickups have there own section within the forum. Where owners would be able to put their build threads, completed cars, parts links, technical questions and general banter.
