It's either 105 or 115bhp.My wifes Ibiza has the 1.6 tdi engine and it's rubbish. It's rubbish on fuel, you've got to drive it like it's stolen. Still, it wasn't anywhere near 20kWell the A3 was a bit better than I was expecting. I used to wonder why people would spend 20plus K on a 2.0TDi BMW/Audi/Merc, just for the brand name when they could get a better spec car if they went for a less premium model. I had the 1.6 TDi today, and actually I can see why it is such a popular engine. The pick up was good and it cruised nicely. It felt solidly put together and was actually quite nice to drive, although I did have a bit of a backache when I got out.
Still, I wouldn't spend 20odd k on one, even if I had the money.
What bhp version is it though? I've got a Caddy with the 102 bhp but they do a 75 bhp version of the same engine which might be in the Ibiza, it must suck in a fully laden Caddy!
Should be ok then but I guess it depends what you are comparing it too, has the £1200 EGR gone on it yet? Mine has, paid £723 for a specialist vag garage to do it, it's all good fun!ha
