Cheers man, I know, I know I'm stupid  >_< ! and sorry, I don't have instantgrams

...I got some motivation recently so decided I'd better crack on starting to fix it. Looked underneath it, yep subby arm is rather bent as well as the floor, so I went and bought this lovely piece off TMF member Turbo Nick today

Then I came home and started cutting the front off. It appears to have had a new passenger wing in the past, but instead of being normal and spot welding it, oh no, they decided to braze it in place  :xxx: It revealed rather crusty inner wings and scuttle ends.

I've decided to go for a fibreglass front, its going to be cheaper, easier and quicker to do as well a weight saving. Not sure if I should cut off both a panels (drivers is mashed up) and get a front with them built, or weld another one on the drivers side?¿ Till next time

I've seen a couple of guys fit fibreglass flip fronts over here. From what I can tell they are quite stiff, but you would just have to ensure that they are securely attached to the body at the opening side, as they can rattle a lot otherwise.

Yeh I've been told they they rattle alot, and I'll go for a 2 piece for a bit more flexability too.

Cheers bud :-) I hate seeing it in this state, really need to crack on!

Thank you :gimme:  the problem/dilemma I have is that I'll never be able to match the patina or faded paint that the front used to have. Really tempted to clubby front it

im sure a paint shop would be able to match the faded colour quite well, or just leave it in primer  :proud:
