Back to the filth of the Mini City, the rear subframe, pretty much every bolt had to be cut off,id say its the original sub frame, also the bolts on the heel boards have snapped off so ill be fitting new repair panels, looks like ive got to cut the back off my newly welded sills  to fit the new heel repair panels any tip s on this would be welcome! Think im going to run the fuel and brake lines inside the car and bolt down with stainless fasteners, nice

Great effort.  I think it'd look good in OEW but that's only my opinion.  If mine wasn't a Cooper and I wasn't restoring it back to the way it should be, I'd be spraying mine Nightfire Red

Thanks Craig, so much for my week off it !! its a pain to find more welding , but then better to do it all now before i bolt it all back together, its great having a what would have been a scapper as i can do what i like regarding its look, i totally get you wanting to keep yours original colour wise,i actually prefer solid colours to metallic s

Also im fitting HI/LOs when i put it back together

Ive cut rusty heel plate mounts off , and cleaned up floors, my plan is to bolt new mounts to new subframe, then bolt into place in the boot then tack new mounts into position, need to do some fabrication of the box section aswell, any help or advice would be great Mini world.

Just fitting up rear subframe, the Ripspeed hi/lo s seem not to lower it that much , thinking of getting them machined down about an inch and a half, has anyone had similar issues???

Very similar project to my own this is, it’s looking really good. Did you do the filler primer painting and will you be painting the top coat? If so are you using an air feed mask or anything as I would like to paint my own but concerned over the safety side of it!
