Gonna stick with the wide wheels,  bought some group2 wider arches, not sure yet to paint them to match the body or to gloss black them

Looking forward to seeing her painted... I think gloss black arches would look nice against that colour with the chrome strip down the side

Black arches only look right with a black roof. Even then it’s debatable.
Black arches on a light light colour, apart from white, look awful

I agree with the above the black would only look nice if the roof was black to, so the blue and blue would look bang on...

I had the same issue with some off the bigger arches but this style, there is a bit of flex in them to loose than big gap at the front of the rear arch but its one of them most things after market need modding to fit, its just rubbish, its part the reason I stayed with standard plastic arches on mine but even those needed heating up to fit properly... :goaway:

Huddersfield ones are very popular but never fitted them myself to be honest

New arches on the way decided not to fit or reshape the old dodgy ebay purchase, so bought a new set from Huddersfield Mini parts

Meantime top coated the Mini !!!..... doors, boot, bonnet left to do, wasted a few litres of paint due to contamination and me not using enough thinners which made me spray to heavy as i was trying to get the paint on to a wet look finish, saves alot of mopping back, , another lesson learned , no flash bodyshop, covered all stored tins of wax etc with sheets, wet the garage floor, tack rags and panel wipes.

So glad to get the body painted before the dreaded damp, cold winter gets here, makes painting at home really hard
