My 1992 Mini Spi Comes Out Of "second Gear" On The Road.

My mini spin comes out from second gear when on the road. The problem started last year, after the complete clutch kit (mi spares) changed. I'm waiting your suggestions and diagnostics. Thanks. Cenk

Usually it's from a worn selector fork. If it does it too many times and it doesn't need many, it also ruins 2nd gear.

 

As Bobbins touch on though, usually when they get like this, the rest of the gearbox isn't far behind, so a complete rebuild would be wise.

as above do a gearbox swap out with guess works or send yours to him for rebuilding.

Cenk, for now it should be okay using 2nd gear when "on throttle", they tend to pop out when you are slowing down or gently on and off the accelerator. With a little practice you can drive around the problem until you can get it repaired. Stu.

Check the Engine steadies.. if it pops out on the overrun, it could be a lose engine stabiliser bar or worn stabiliser bushes
